WHO WE ARE

GAP Specialities was founded in Singapore in 2002 to service the growing demand of fine and speciality chemicals in the South East Asian region. Initially GAP worked primarily with European supply chain partners. This soon changed as the Asian Chemical industry expanded rapidly and quality suppliers emerged from China, Korea and India. GAP took the opportunity to enhance its product range by working with these new suppliers and also at the same time to extend its market coverage on a global basis.

Our focus has always been to supply high quality chemicals at the right price and as quickly and efficiently as possible.

OUR SERVICES

LUBRICANTS

We supply a range of Poly Alkylene Glycol (PAG) based lubricants both in fully formulated and concentrate form. They find an extensive application in industrial areas such as gears, compressors and hydraulic systems. In addition to this we supply phenolic additives such as BHT and 2,6-ditertiarybutyl phenol (DTBP) as a pure solid or 75% liquid.

COATINGS

Our catalogue includes acrylate and methacrylate monomers for use in OEM and industrial coatings, varnishes, printing inks, adhesives and sealants. Other products include sulphonic acids, quaternary ammonium and phosphonium salts plus glycidyl ethers.

PAPER

For the paper industry we specialise in the supply of REAGENS-S-CFZ which is a quaternary compound used to manufacture cationic starch. Other chemicals include polyalkylene glycols (PAG’s) for antifoam applications and fumaric acid which is used as a pH buffer in starch manufacture.

RUBBER & PLASTIC

We have a range of high and low temperature plasticisers such as DOA, DOS and TOTM, plus BHT which may be used in rubber compounding, LDPE processing and polyol manufacture.
